Intercommunication Device

From SnesLab
Jump to: navigation, search

The Intercommunication Device exists inside the Super Game Boy. Its register file is connected directly to the 62-pins for the Cartridge Slot.

It converts 2bpp grayscale images generated by the SGB CPU to SNES PPU format, which are then transferred to WRAM and then VRAM by DMA.
